So, I moved house and I am now living in a glorious town house which I love, sometimes it even feels like I'm back in Chelsea!
Moving house is so stressful especially for someone who has a lot of stuff like I do. The day the removal men came for my boxes I had barely started packing - in my defense, I didn't know I had accumulated so much stuff under my bed.
So after all the packing, unpacking, building work, the finishing touches and the house party, the fun really starts. I only began to feel really settled in recently because now the holidays have started I no longer have a routine, so I can lay around ensconced in books for hours or laze around watching TV undisturbed and so I have only just begun to appreciate the quirks of my new home.
Decorating this house was like no other, unlike the last three houses my family and I had a blank canvas. I never thought there would be a stags head on the wall, or antique french chests in the corridors, or huge thick curtains on the windows. I have to remind myself I'm not living in a swanky hotel or staying in someone else's apartment because I've forgotten what my real tastes are.
Now that I can finally potter around and feel comfortable I thought the magic would subside but surprisingly when I enter rooms I still feel overwhelmed by their beauty and quirky accents.
My suggestion of the day is to re-arrange a room, I have done this countless times, I've tried everything and it always breathes a new lease of life in to rooms, feng shui was a favourite and also buying little decorations or changing a rooms colour scheme. Good Luck xx
