October is a bit of a funny month because you want to try out all the Autumn/Winter trends but there is still that glimmer of sun which makes you pine for summer.
It feels that in summer I pine for cosy knits, cashmere, crumpets and freinds sat by the fire and then in winter whilst wrapped up in layers upon layer of jumpers and wolly socks I pine for festivals in denim shorts and ray-bans and having fun in the golden evenings.
Which is why in October I look out my window and try to ignore then sun and the temptation to dig out my trusty shorts. Instead I go for my black skinnies, a white tee and biker boots - if its warm I swap the boots for ballet pumps and if it's cold I layer with a gilet. Sometimes it feels as if I have outsmarted October other times I just feel extremely dull.
This indian summer has been great but I can't wait until the snow comes (the bbc weather man promised) and I can once again wear my jumbo scarves and thin grey cashmere hats - it'll be great. Then again I might be writing a post soon complaing about the snow, only time will tell.

Won't lie I've stolen some of your ideas - the jumbo scarf sounds great!
